The gas chambers were used by the Germans as a way to exterminate the Jewish. The men were told to take off their clothes and gold teeth then enter the showers remembering were they left their belongings. The toxic gas Zyklon B was put through the air vents which made the men suffocate and die within twenty minutes. This made some men scratch on the walls as they didn't want to die. The men's bodies were then collected and their hair was removed to make uniforms for the Nazi's and to be-weak delayed action bombs. The people were then cremated and their ashes were dumped in large piles. Once the Holocaust was over the Germans tried to hide the gas chambers and any evidence of extermination but they failed to do so.
